— Kansas City (10/07 - 3/08) Portal Content Analyst (consultant)Identified and pursued new online product opportunities to support the overall digital business strategy. Evaluated flash-based UI against software product for quality assurance. Transitioned flash experience into company intranet enterprise portal for a broader user reach.
Contracted to design, develop, document, and improve systems, and provide overall system support for web-based content and applications. Worked directly with designers and intranet support team to build, test and deploy new content-rich site.

— Overland Park (5/07 - 10/07) Intranet Content Analyst (consultant)Conducted User Acceptance Testing on page layout prototypes for new corporate intranet using BEA Aqualogic templates. Assist Corporate Communications and Brand Management with deployment allowing administration of user access through group and privilege assignment workflows. Provide remote support and maintenance for healthy intranet production.

— Shawnee Mission (5/01 - 5/07) Information DesignerDeveloped optimized cross platform websites using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash and ASP to implement online initiatives. — (5/01 - 1/07) Intranet Client Support (consultant for TWG Consulting)Managed and supported mass communication tools for approximately 50 users providing operational support ensuring all communications are timely and accurate. Communications platform manages e-mails and other event management tools for enterprise-wide communications. Coordinated and developed testing and redeployment requirements for fix/enhancement objectives.
Created and maintained process documentation, project plans, issues logs and enhancement requests for multiple projects.
Facilitated client empowerment by providing one-on-one training as well as creating job-aids and other training documents.
Managed relationships between clients and IT messaging services to track and resolve current system issues.
Directed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and managed late-night code pushes to production servers with onshore and offshore teams. Determined failure/success based off of trial scripts designed to test all requirements of the application. Ultimately responsible for the implemented code enhancements.
Operations support for corporate intranet ECM, Interwoven. Enhanced the team of content providers’ productivity by implementing Post-merge ECM, Vignette.
Kansan.com
— University of Kansas (12/04 - till graduation 05/05) Web DesignerProduced a complete redesign of Kansan.com, the independent student-run University school newspaper website. Achieved full integration into the content management system (CMS) Ellington, based on the Django framework, improving layouts and structure. The revamp allowed the Kansan newspaper staff to easily and consistently add stories and multimedia to Kansan.com without the need of programming knowledge or the HTML language. All layout tables were removed and replaced with semantic and descriptive markup. The site is driven by standards-compliant XHTML and CSS for content and ambience respectively.

Community Kickback
- Ali-forever.com
- Developed, designed, and launched community-focused memorial website for fallen classmate Ali Kemp. Provided a centralized channel for incoming news, user comments, thoughts, prayers, downloadable flyers, and communication with the TIPS hotline. Site received recognition on America’s Most Wanted TV program and website, USA Today, Kansas City Star, The Johnson County Sun, and local TV stations. The site is an ongoing project and partnership with TAKEdefense.org and founder Roger Kemp.
